Nice review. I’m a fan of Oliver Matter’s products and I hope the new Swiss definition doesn’t hurt his production.
As an aside, when looking at a blanche I give higher ranks to the clearest blanches. It’s an indication of good distilling technique. Any murky appearance, sediment, or tint could be the distiller not making proper cuts.

I’m new to the world of blanches, personally. I was also recently told that it’s quasi-traditional to *not* add sugar to it, when louching. I’ll have to try that next time.
